Weekend Coffee Share #SOL21 #day14

It was warm…and then it got cold again. Let’s just sit inside today shall we? I have strong black coffee but have some add in’s if you like. Welcome to Sunday!

Thank you to the Two Writing Teachers blog for the March challenge! I have been able to post to the blog every day. That hasn’t happened since….probably last March! HAHA

Thank you to Natalie for hosting the link party for all things Weekend Coffee Share!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you my evening schedule was a little different this week. I did not have as many meetings scheduled which I was thankful for. I love to learn and interact with other writers and friends but sometimes it can be too much. I had several meetings stacked on Tuesday but they were all wonderful. The rest of the week was free and I took some longer walks and read or just relaxed.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I do not welcome Daylight Savings Time. I even wrote an article about it here.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I did a lot of walking this weekend. Some was necessary in order to pick up my car being repaired and other times I was just enjoying the weather. We got the kids out there too so that was wonderful!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I am hosting a #10MINFOR10DAYS free challenge starting Monday (tomorrow). You can sign up here! It is a challenge for people who want to change their life in 10 minutes. I love the 10 minute time frame and am always amazed at what can be accomplished. You will receive a daily email with inspiration. I am excited to share some techniques that light me up! Hopefully, they will work for you too.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I am taking a break from classes for a bit. I need to curate and settle with some of the fantastic information I have taken in the last couple of months. I will still be reading but will take some more time to marinate some ideas. I am also planning my own flash class that I am going to be teaching soon. I am trying to decide which platform I want to use in order to do it.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you my son passed the test and now has his driver’s license! It is a huge milestone and I am so proud of him.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I am still participating in the Two Writing Teachers blog challenge. I have been posting to the blog daily. It has been wonderful to reconnect with so teacher writers and meet some new ones! I always am so inspired by their writings.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I have been freewriting with a different lens. I am trying to focus on what is emerging and in the present rather than always going into the past. I am also rereading some journals and seeing what pops out to me especially in the way of patterns.

The new moon is here! What plans do you have for the next cycle? I feel big things brewing these next couple of weeks!

Thank you for joining me for a coffee today. I always love when we chat!

I would love to hear what you are working on and what you find inspiring.

    • Aww thank you! And thank you for reading! It has been a long while since I started this format and it allows me to go back and look at my life from a weekly perspective as well!

  1. Although I’m not really looking for anything as dramatic as “changing my life,” I always love inspiration, so I’m looking forward to the #10minutesfor10days. Yesterday I rued the time change on the heels of your reflection about DST, but this morning I’m rethinking that negativity. What a difference a day makes! Have a great one.

    • LOL It does sound a bit dramatic doesn’t it? There is such power in taking 10 min for creative pursuits though. I do love inspiration as you know so I do hope you enjoy the challenge. I am glad that the time change is bringing you gently into it this year! SMiles all around

  2. So many wonderful things in your slice, all around just enjoying some coffee! No cream or sugar for me, though. 🙂
I connected with you writing from a different lens, to be more focused on the present, instead of the past. I also find myself writing more about the past, and even did so today. I will make a more conscious effort to include something more present tomorrow!

  3. It was lovely having a coffee with you. Congratulations to your son on getting his licence. I am not sure that taking on a challenge in the middle of another challenge is a sane thing to do and I will sign up anyway. I think extra nudge for inspiration is a good thing to have.

  4. Thank you for inviting me to coffee — I didn’t know weekend coffees shares were even a thing so now I’m going to have to check that out. I also signed up for the ten minute thing — so you really are helping me branch out into new experiences with my writing and my blog.

Fun fact: I actually made a big pot of tea today after an impromptu visit to a local tea shop where I picked up a new blend. It was so tasty and I enjoyed every cup.

  5. This format was really inviting. It made me think about the things I would share if I was having coffee with a friend.
